v0.27.2

Release date: 2026-10-15

Early Access

The Luminary Cloud API and Python SDK are Early Access features that are still under development. View the Luminary Cloud Early Access Terms. The interface may change, and you may need to migrate or discard scripts and configuration files multiple times before v1.0.0 is released. In the future, migrations may also be necessary when upgrading to new major versions of the SDK (e.g. v2.0.0).

Release Notes

This release adds Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings (FW-H) aeroacoustic analysis settings and a download for the resulting acoustic data, and makes automatic streamline seeding available to all users.

Breaking Changes

None.

Features

  • Fluid.aeroacoustics configures FW-H aeroacoustic analysis on a transient fluid simulation. Set Aeroacoustics.acoustic_method to integrate over the solid walls (FWH_SOLID_TIME_STD), a permeable cube around the body (FWH_PERMEABLE_TIME_STD), or both (FWH_BOTH_TIME_STD), and give 1 to 48 observer locations. The default, ACOUSTIC_METHOD_NONE, leaves FW-H off.

  • Solution.download_acoustic_data() (experimental) saves a solution’s FW-H pressure history as a CSV file: # key=value metadata lines, a header row, then one row per observer-time bin. Read it with pandas.read_csv(path, comment="#").

  • vis.AutoStreamlines is available to all users.

Deprecations

None.
